It was announced that the Akihabara Chuo-dori store (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will open on March 4th as the first store in Japan and the first store in Tokyo for the popular hamburger chain "Carl's Jr." from California, USA.


Carl's Jr. is popular for its burgers with 100% Angus beef patties and "real" shakes. The order is at the counter, but the products made after receiving the order are delivered to the table. It started with one hot dog cart in 1941 and is now deployed in more than 30 countries around the world (as of December 2015). It will be the first re-landing in about 20 years in Japan.

In the future, it plans to open stores in Azabujuban, Odaiba, Shibuya, and Roppongi, and plans to open 150 stores in 10 years.
