Perhaps I was so enthusiastic about Vietnamese food, I went out to eat lunch, and when I noticed, I was standing at the entrance of the Vietnamese restaurant "Sunflower"! What a hell! It seems that my body was unconsciously looking for a Vietnamese restaurant!
"Sunflower" is a 5-minute walk from Gotanda Station. It's a popular shop that everyone in the know knows, and everyone who is familiar with the area around Gotanda knows or doesn't.
The interior is exactly like the interior of a restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City! It seems that Vietnamese songs are played in the BGM, and the clerk's conversation in Vietnamese can sometimes be heard through the gaps in the melody. It's quite Vietnamese.
This time, I ordered "Bunman (chicken bunmen)" from the lunch set menu of "Bunmen" that I couldn't eat in Vietnam. The lunch menu also includes a rice menu and a pho noodle menu.
Soon, a gorgeous lunch set arrived at my table, which I thought was a course meal! In addition to Bunman, Vietnamese-style fried rice (small), fresh spring rolls, and even Vietnamese coffee are included. That's 950 yen ... it's too good! !!
Everything looks delicious, but let's start with Bunman. When I drank the soup, it had a light taste with chicken stock oozing out! It goes well with soft thin noodles such as somen noodles. It ’s good! !!
The chicken and chicken dumplings are elastic and crispy! The more you chew, the more the taste of chicken spreads in your mouth. Vegetables with plenty of vegetables such as menma, bean sprouts, and onions are crispy and have a nice texture. And ginger that tightens the aftertaste, and coriander that carries the Southeast Asian wind. Oh, I'm dying ...
If you want to change the taste a little, try adding a spoon of chili sauce on the table. The spiciness adds sharpness to the soup and stimulates the appetite more and more.
Next, we will have a set of fried rice. Don't think it's a "side menu" and don't mess with it. This is, I good at enough to be amazed!
The rice has a chewy texture rather than a fluffy texture. In addition to roasted eggs, minced meat, and green onions, it contains spicy peppers that are thought to be finely chopped peppers. The seasoning is strong, but the taste of the dashi stock (is it seafood?) Is strong, not salty, so it's delicious anyway. Bunman has a light taste, so it is well balanced.
And one more. Fresh spring rolls that are eaten with sweet and spicy sweet chili sauce. Ingredients such as mizuna, lettuce, and shrimp are tightly wrapped in the chewy skin, making it a perfect meal! The sauce has a slight nam pla scent, creating a unique taste.
All eaten, 120% satisfied. Again, with this taste and volume, 950 yen with coffee after meals is too exceptional.
When I had coffee after a meal, I gently muttered "Come on (= thank you)" that I could never say in Vietnam and left the shop. Come on, sunflower. I'll come again.
