The popular menu "Kansai Magma Don" offered at Kansai University's school cafeteria is now available as a convenience store lunch box. It was released on December 6th exclusively for FamilyMart in the Kansai area (Shiga, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Nara, Wakayama). The price is 450 yen.

Kansai Magma Don is a hearty dish that combines mapo tofu and fried chicken. It is said that the menu offered at the student cafeteria on the Kansai University Senriyama Campus is attracting much attention, such as being featured on TV programs.

When commercializing it, with the cooperation of the university co-op, season it with reference to the recipe of the school cafeteria. Mapo tofu is based on Sichuan-style doubanjiang and tianmian sauce, and it is said that tofu cut to a larger size than usual is used in the image of rocks overflowing from magma.
