● Materials

Click here for what to prepare. I refer to the recipe of ITO EN.

2 tablespoons of tea that can be dissolved in water and drunk
Hot cake mix 200g (7.05oz)
Milk 160cc
1 egg

If you like, you can add sweet natto and mix it!

● How to make

Put the tea powder and pancake mix in a bowl and mix.

This time tea uses this

Mix with pancake mix

Combine the milk and eggs, mix well, add to the pancake mix bowl and mix quickly.

Pour the dough into a silicon steamer and heat in a 500W microwave for 6-8 minutes. The dough swells, so the point is to pour it into half of the container and bake it.

Be careful not to overfill

Check the degree of burning by sticking a bamboo skewer. If it's cooked, it's done!

● What is the taste?

The fluffy steamed bread is soft and the teeth sink when you bite it. The taste is crisp and bittersweet, and the deep umami and astringency of green tea spread throughout the mouth. It goes really well with milk!

My mouth wants milk!

The steamed bread itself is not sweet, so it is recommended to add sweet elements such as sweet natto and azuki beans. Or maybe you can add whipped cream or ice cream! Please be careful about the baking time and burns so that it does not become too hard!
