Cocktail Salt Salt for Rice Balls

Cocktail Salt Onigiri Salt is a chef's unique blend of ingredients that enhance the flavor of rice. In addition to Japanese baked salt and Pakistani rock salt, it is mixed with finely powdered shiso, black sesame, wasabi, and dried sardines. In other words, it's got nothing but what's good for rice!


I mixed it in with freshly cooked rice and made onigiri (rice balls).



The mild saltiness, umami, and refreshing flavor of the mustard flutters in the mouth. Wasabi and black sesame seeds add a subtle accent. Very elegant seasoning...! It gently enhances the deliciousness of the rice without erasing the sweetness of the rice itself. Makes a salted musubi with just white rice taste much better!
