Silk Sweet" and "Beni Haruka," two popular varieties of baked sweet potatoes, are used for the bean paste. The sweetness and flavor of sweet potatoes is enhanced by maturing them after harvesting, so the flavor of the baked sweet potatoes is maximized by maturing them thoroughly and baking them slowly in the oven. It is made into a paste and added to the bean paste, so you can enjoy the aroma of the baked sweet potatoes and the flavor of the sweet potatoes.


This time, sweet potatoes from the Kamitomi area, including the Musashino Nature Farm, which has been in existence for 10 generations, are used. The sweet potatoes grown in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, were called "Kawagoe imo" (Kawagoe sweet potatoes) because of their high quality, and were considered the highest quality product in the Edo period. In particular, sweet potatoes grown in the Kamitome district are called "Tomi no imo" (sweet potatoes of Tomi) and boast a delicious taste that sets them apart from other Kawagoe potatoes.


The secret to the delicious taste of "Kawagoe imo" is the soil. The soil is made soft and fluffy by using fallen leaves compost over a long period of time, which results in the growth of delicious sweet potatoes.
