Sakiyoken "Hinamatsuri Bento

The "Hinamatsuri Bento" is now available at Sakiyoken. Reservations are now being accepted, and the lunchboxes will be handed over at about 160 stores mainly in the Kanagawa and Tokyo areas from March 1 to 3. It will also be available for purchase without reservation at about 20 stores in the Kanagawa area on March 1 and 2, and at about 160 stores mainly in Kanagawa and Tokyo on March 3. The sales price is 1,300 yen (tax included).

The main dish is a colorful "Chirashi Sushi" topped with shrimp, tobiko (tobiko is a small fish), yama-seri (mountain clam), seasoned shiitake mushrooms, pickled lotus root, and broiled egg. In addition to the chirashi-sushi, there are two other side dishes: the fragrant deep-fried prawns in a refreshing shiso-flavored batter, and the Rape Blossoms, Konnyaku and Carrots with Amazake (sweet sake), with its subtle aroma of sweet sake.

Also included are soft-boiled taro with crab and yuba sauce, nishin kombu maki for celebratory occasions, ume shaped carrot stew and kinchaku nimono with vermicelli as spring dishes. In addition, there are three pieces of "traditional siomai" with the flavor of pork and dried scallops.

The sweet dish is "Sanshoku Dango". The mugwort skin is filled with koshi-an (red bean paste), the white skin with white bean paste, and the peach skin with cherry-red bean paste.
