Kasho Sanzen's "Sendai Kinako Series

On April 1, Kasho Sanzen will release three new products from its "Sendai Kinako Series" made from Miyagi soybeans. The three products are "Mitowa Kuromitsu Kinako," "Cake Donut Kinako," and "Sendai Usuyaki Senbei Kinako.

Soybeans are known as the "meat of the field" and are rich in high-quality protein. Miyagi Prefecture is one of the largest producers of soybeans in Japan.

The Sendai Kinako series, launched in 2016, is a Sendai souvenir made from soybeans grown by Agreed Naruse in the Nobiru area of Higashimatsushima City as part of a 6th industrialization project undertaken by the JR East Group to support reconstruction efforts in the disaster area. Sendai Kinako Crunch", "Kuromitsu Kinako Mochi", "Kinako Okaki", and "Sendai Kinako" have been sold with the wish that "Soybeans make people and communities more healthy and delicious". This time, three new products have been introduced.

Mitowa Kuromitsu Kinako

A crispy, delicately baked langdosha cookie with a kinako (soybean flour)-flavored tablet infused with molasses. Priced at 800 yen for a pack of 5 or 1,500 yen for a pack of 10 (tax included).

Cake Doughnut Kinako

A doughnut with a rich taste of kinako (soybean flour). They are baked to a smooth texture. Priced at 450 yen for 3 doughnuts and 900 yen for 6 doughnuts.

Sendai Usuyaki Senbei Kinako

A non-fried rice cracker with the savory flavor of soybean flour. It has a thin, crispy texture. The price is 1,000 yen for 10 bags.
