It was announced on the official website that the French confectionery "Gallet des Rois" will be sold at the Japanese confectionery "Toraya" in Tokyo. Only the Akasaka store in Tokyo is accepting reservations in limited quantities. It will end as soon as the constant is reached. Delivery will be on January 4, 5, 7, 8, or 9th, 2021.

The selling price is 3,996 yen (tax included). Galette des Rois is a traditional pie that can be eaten at the Epiphany on January 6th in France. There is a way to put a small pottery doll called Fève inside and congratulate the person who hit it when cutting the pie.

At the special exhibition "Welcome to the Land of Sweets-Japan and France Sweet Story-" being held at Toraya Akasaka, there is a commentary on Galette des Rois, which was prepared in the past at "Toraya Paris" in France. The corner where you can see the fève is very popular.

This time, the Galette des Rois by Patisserie "Le Comte", which is associated with the exhibition, will be actually sold as a set with the 2021 fève of "Toraya Paris store".

With a diameter of about 18 cm, it features a flavorful puff pastry that uses fermented butter from Hokkaido and salt from Guérande, France. The creme damand (almond cream) inside is made with a scent of French rum. Based on old-fashioned recipes, it is made with simple ingredients and has a nostalgic taste.

In addition, the fève is shaped like Toraya's namagashi "Yuzu", and the year is written on the back. It does not go into the dough and comes with it. Instead of fève, almond grains are hidden in the Galette des Rois, which you can enjoy as a "hit".
