Rokkatei "so sweet so happy

Good news for those who love the combination of chocolate and nuts. Rokkatei, a confectionery manufacturer in Hokkaido, is selling an assortment of chocolates called "so sweet so happy". The price is 850 yen (tax included).

The bottom of the package is pink, and the top is white. The design of the Rokkatei paper bag with wild flowers on a white background is gorgeous. It is good that the floral part is not a ribbon but an elastic band underneath.



The container inside is divided into two, one with matcha heart chocolate and almond yoo-hoo, and the other with strawberry heart chocolate and hazelnut yoo-hoo. Sounds like a fun name, doesn't it?


Almond Yahoos are made with roasted almonds coated with milk chocolate. It crumbles when you hit your teeth, and the aroma spreads all at once. The chocolate melts with time. The milk chocolate is more bitter than I expected and goes well with the nuts. Although it is too much for one person to eat in one sitting, you can enjoy it without getting bored by occasionally adding the refreshing taste of matcha chocolate in between.


Hazelnut Yahoos are made with hazelnuts coated with white chocolate. The texture is light and crunchy, but the taste is rich. The gap between the two is the best. The sweet and sour heart chocolate adds an accent.
