Kiyoken's "Mega Shiumai Bento" has been revived, so I ate it. Eight shumai dumplings and twelve bale-shaped rice are very voluminous, and if you eat alone, you will be hungry enough to lose consciousness.
The price is 1,250 yen (tax included, as of September). The ones that received a lot of attention when they were sold for a limited time in 2017 and were asked to resell them were revived for a limited time with a special hanging paper.
The contents are 12 bale-shaped rice (small plum, black sesame), 8 old-fashioned shiumai, 1 piece of pickled tuna, 1 piece of kamaboko, 2 pieces of fried chicken, 1 piece of thick-grilled egg, and 1 piece of anzu. Bamboo shoots, cut kelp, and shredded ginger are attached to it.
The total calories are 1208 kcal. I think that even an adult man is too much for one meal, but it is recommended that you eat it the same day after purchasing it. I dared to challenge.
The lunch box comes with soy sauce and mustard, so put it on a plate and then pick up one shumai.
As usual, the scent of pork is high, and the exquisite shumai that is typical of Kiyoken. Eight of these are enough, but next we will see the taste of fried chicken.
Karaage is a classic seasoning and goes well with rice as a side dish. One bale-shaped rice seems to be good for each fried chicken. Next, I will try pickled tuna.
It is well baked and has a firm texture. It's salty, but it has a beautiful cherry blossom color inside, which is a bit reminiscent of ham or bacon. The size is also large, so you can use two and a half bale-shaped rice as a side dish.
Thick roasted eggs have a sweet and fluffy texture and are for resting chopsticks. Kamaboko is pre-prepared and salty. You can have one bale-shaped rice as a side dish. Apricots are soft, sweet and sour, and if you continue to have salty side dishes, you can settle down here.
Bamboo shoots are also surprisingly sweet, so it seems good to enjoy them little by little with salty side dishes. The cut kelp has a strong umami taste, and the shredded ginger has a refreshing acidity, so it is ideal as a side dish for rice or for changing the taste between pinching shumai.
Up to 5 or 6 bale-shaped rice can easily fit in your stomach, but after sports, it's a little difficult if you're not hungry. When you finish eating alone, you will feel full and feel a little conscious. It's best to share it with your family, as it's best to divide it by a couple of people.
