The recipe for "corned beef yukke" tweeted on the official Twitter page of Nozaki, well known for "Nozaki's corned beef," looks delicious! I was curious, so I gave it a try and found it to be a delicious dish to serve with drinks or over rice.
Materials
Here is what you need to prepare.1 can (100g (3.53oz)) corned beef
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)
1/2 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon grated garlic (tube is OK)
1 egg
Sesame oil to taste
Gochujang (red pepper paste) to taste
Gochujang can be added or not. If you like spicy food, prepare it.
How to make
Put the corned beef in a bowl and add soy sauce, mirin, honey, and grated garlic. For a spicier taste, add gochujang (red pepper paste).Place in a bowl and make a hollow in the center. Drop an egg yolk into the center and drizzle sesame oil over the top. Garnish with cucumber and shiso leaves if desired.
How does it taste?
Uma! The richness of the mild egg and the aroma of sesame oil are meltingly entwined with the moist, loose corned beef, making for a very appetizing dish. The garlic and sweetness of the honey are also exquisite! The slightly unctuous flavor of the corned beef is muted, and the beer goes down a treat. I would love to serve it over white rice! You can sprinkle black pepper or sesame seeds to add spice and savory flavor. If you like corned beef, you should try this recipe at least once!
