Ham katsu" is a delight with its old-fashioned deliciousness. It is the perfect accompaniment to beer or highballs, but making it yourself can be a bit of a hassle. What we recommend is "fried ham cutlet style" using "abura-age" instead of batter! It's so easy to make, yet so delicious...!
Oage Hamu
Katsu-style Recipe
Ingredients: Ingredients
I used Sagamiya's recipe as a reference.2 sheets of fried tofu
2 sheets of ham
2 sheets of shiso leaves
2 slices of cheese
Directions
Remove oil from fried tofu by pouring boiling water over it, and cut in half. Open into a pouch.Cut ham in half, fold in two, and place in fried tofu.
Also cut the shiso leaves and sliced cheese in half, and shove them into the fried tofu, sandwiching them between the ham.
Heat oil (not included) in a frying pan and cook until browned. You can also close the mouth of the bag with a toothpick.
Serve in a bowl and voila!
How does it taste?
This...is...yummy...! The crispy, savory fried bean curd is juicy and has just the right amount of chewiness, just like meat! The crispy fried tofu is juicy and juicy with just the right amount of chewiness, just like meat! What a delicious taste...perfect with drinks! It's really tasty, so you've been fooled! It's easy because all you have to do is stuff the filling inside and bake it, and you can have it ready in 10 minutes when you think of it. You can season it with chuno sauce, black pepper, shichimi, or whatever you like. Personally, I'd recommend eating it as is, since the ham and cheese are so salty!
