Northman" by Senjuan is one of Hokkaido's famous confections, and has been a long-seller since 1974.

The refreshing blue package is impressive. The design features snowflakes typical of Hokkaido and a directional magnet pointing north.


The "Northman" is the result of research into the creation of a pastry using pie crust and red bean paste, a representative of Hokkaido. The pie crust is baked and filled with red bean paste made from Hokkaido azuki beans, and each 5-piece package is priced at 885 yen (tax included).


The layers of pie crust are moist and flaky. The aroma of wheat and butter spreads softly. The pie is rich, yet light.


The red bean paste inside is smooth and smooth. It has a nostalgic gentle sweetness. The pie and the sweet bean paste are one in the same, and the taste is a delicious blend of Japanese and Western.
