Do you know the "original" mobile sandwich "Snack Sandwich" sold by Fuji Baking? A packed sandwich that can be easily eaten with one hand, with ingredients sandwiched between two pieces of bread with the ears removed.

The reason for the "originator" is that it has been on sale since 1975, before the familiar "La Chipak".

This snack sandwich is said to be celebrating its 40th anniversary today (September 15, 2015). And to commemorate this, September 15th was registered as "Snack Sandwich Day". I want to be so happy!

There are five standard snack sandwich flavors: "egg", "tuna & mayo", "peanut", "ham & mayo", and "ham egg". In addition to this, it seems that new flavors are appearing in turn every month. For example, "Brown Sugar Snack Sand Naruto Kintoki" is now on sale as an autumn flavor. A sweet potato dish with brown sugar-flavored bread wrapped in sweet potato paste made from Naruto Kintoki.

Including flavors that are available only in regions, about 40 types of products are always lined up on the bread shelves of supermarkets and mass retailers nationwide.

There is also a product in collaboration with the blogger unit "Tabearu King" formed by "masters of eating and walking". The first is "Itari bean paste" produced by the sweets bancho. It is made by combining cream with mascarpone cheese with red bean paste made from Hokkaido azuki beans and sandwiching it between soft and moist bread.
