Hattendo is famous for its "cream bread" filled with melty cream. It originated in Hiroshima, but in recent years it has been opening stores nationwide.


The French toast introduced this time is a whole cream bread made into French toast. It is offered as an eat-in menu at Hattendo's cafe store, and can also be purchased at online shops.

This time, I ordered at the cafe store "HACHI PAN CAFE" in Akihabara. The price at the store is 600 yen for a single item and 900 yen for a drink set (both including tax). * Only available at cafe time after 15:00


French toast that appeared on a plate with fruits such as kiwi, blueberries, oranges, and bananas. The browned surface is appetizing.


When you cut it with a knife, plenty of cream overflows from the inside.


The cold cream bun is usually warmed, and a more "smooth" and ephemeral mouthfeel is developed in the mouth. The dough soaked with French liquid feels more moist, and the contrast with the fragrant and crispy texture of the surface is fun. The overall "melting" texture was felt to be better than normal cream buns.

Garnished fruits are not just colors. By combining with French toast, you can enjoy the hot and cold texture and change the taste. Personally, I like the combination with banana, which allows you to enjoy a richer and richer taste.
