At each Natural Lawson store (excluding some stores), a new Chinese bun product "Thai-style shrimp bun" was released on February 2nd. The price is 178 yen (tax included).

This product is a Chinese steamed bun with shrimp and domestic coriander mixed in the ingredients and dried coriander mixed in the dough. How is that coriander? I was curious, so I tried it.

■ I tried Thai style shrimp bun

The dough mixed with dried coriander is bright green. Dark green spots that seem to be coriander are scattered, and it looks like a wormwood bun. At this point, there is no scent of coriander.

The size is about 7.5 cm in diameter. It fits in the palm of a woman and is quite small in a Chinese steamed bun.

When you cut it, you will find plenty of ingredients such as shrimp, pork, coriander (probably leaves), and onions. … But I still can't feel the scent of coriander. It smells the same as a regular meat bun.

The sweet and spicy seasoning like Gapao, the lively texture of pudding shrimp and crispy ginger. And after a fibrous texture, a vivid scent tickles the nostrils. I'm here, coriander!

It's not the moment you eat it, but when you chew the coriander itself, the refreshing scent spreads and you can fully enjoy the "feeling of coriander". It is also authentic that the spicy ginger remains in the aftertaste. I think it's perfect when you feel like "I want to eat a little ethnic food easily!"
