It would be so cool if I could invite my friends over to my house and serve them homemade cocktails. But you don't have a bar counter at home, or even a shaker, so... But you don't have a bar counter at home, and you don't even have a shaker, so....

Good news for cocktail novices (including myself). A machine called "Barobot" has been developed in the U.K. that makes the perfect cocktail simply by "ordering" it from a touch panel. Eater.com, a U.S. media outlet, reports the news.


A bar robot is a machine that automatically mixes liqueurs, juices, soda water, and other liquids to make cocktails. Orders can be placed through a dedicated smartphone app as well as a touch panel. Up to 12 bottles of liquid can be installed, and the number of cocktails that can be made exceeds 1,000.


When we order a cocktail, the glasses glide along the lane, and the necessary liquid is poured from each bottle and returned to us. The bar robot only pours the liquid and does not appear to "mix" it, but the bar robot's designer says that the liquid is poured from a certain height, so it mixes well enough without the need to shake it.


Bar Robot is currently seeking investors on Kickstarter. A very convenient machine that allows you to order from an app without having to shake your own shaker and without having to sit up from the couch... But don't forget that you'll have to run out to the store to buy the liqueurs and juices you need to make your own cocktails.
