According to the US media Huffington Post, live salad is a novel dish of cutting and eating vegetables directly from potted plants. Several types of grass grown from seeds are planted in the pot, and it is said that they will be provided with scissors for cutting and a spray bottle with dressing.

The store's chef, Noah Hester, told the media, "I want people to be more interested in what they eat."
