According to the media, the "Smart Bra" is a revolutionary bra that uses an embedded psychological sensor to monitor heartbeat and manage a person's mood. It sends warning messages to the owner via smartphone to prevent binge drinking.

When people are stressed or depressed, they tend to prefer to eat high-calorie foods like doughnuts. In response to this, Microsoft thought that binge eating could be prevented in advance by capturing the movement of emotions. The "bra" was chosen because it is ideal in that it is not difficult to wear for long periods of time and allows monitoring of emotions close to the heart.

The company then asked four women to each wear a sensor inside their bras and conducted a monitoring study for four days. As a result, the company concluded that placing a sensor inside the bra was an effective way to read changes in emotion, and decided to develop the "Smart Bra.

However, the "smart bra" needs to be recharged every 3-4 hours. At present, there are no plans to commercialize the product.
