Thirty-One Ice Cream has announced the results of its "General Election of Flavor" held from March 31 to April 23. The winner was that flavor, which is cute both in taste and appearance.

avor Election" will be held in 2023, the 50th anniversary of Thirty-One's arrival in Japan. A total of 100 popular flavors were entered, and the total number of votes cast exceeded 490,000. The "Limited Time Only Flavor Election" was additionally held.

No. 1 Love Potion Thirty-One

The winner with 31,610 votes was Love Potion Thirty-One (2nd place last year). With its pretty pink color and cute appearance, "Love Potion," a.k.a. "Love Aphrodisiac," took the crown for the first time.

The flavor of raspberry and white chocolate flavored ice cream, accented with heart-shaped confectionery with sweet and sour raspberry sauce, won the support of people of all ages, from 10 to 40 years old. The new flavor is scheduled to be released in January 2024.

No. 2 Chocolate Mint

Last year's champion, Chocolate Mint, came in second place with 28,030 votes. The key to its delicious taste is the perfect balance between the refreshing mint and the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate. Some of the comments included, "I have been a fan of chocolate mint since I was a child," and "My first encounter with chocolate mint was at Thirty-One," which is a flavor that has been loved since its arrival in Japan.

No. 3 Caramel Ribbon

Caramel Ribbon made the top 3 with 24,404 votes (3rd place last year). The combination of vanilla and the special caramel spread is the most appealing flavor. It is a stable and extremely popular flavor, with comments such as "Caramel Ribbon is the best," and "I can't tell you how happy I am when I eat this.

No. 4 Strawberry Cheesecake

Strawberry Cheesecake came in fourth place with 22,797 votes (6th place last year). The perfect combination of baked cheesecake made with cream cheese that is filled with a raspberry filling and sweet and sour strawberry ribbons. It was highly praised for its "double or triple filling for sure," and for its "both fruitiness and sweetness."

No. 5 Jamocha Almond Fudge

Jamocha Almond Fudge ranked 5th with 21,355 votes (4th last year), and the authentic flavor of coffee ice cream made from two types of beans dripped at the factory, matched with chocolate ribbons and the savory taste of almonds, is highly popular among people in their 50s and 60s. The taste is popular among the gay crowd, who say things like, "May this be a staple forever," and "Coffee and chocolate are the best."


In the additional "General Election for Limited Time Only Flavor," "Burgundy Cherry" came in first place (6th overall). As the flavor that won the limited time flavor general election, it will be back on sale for six months starting next January.
