from January 17, 2023. The product will be released in each of eight areas in Japan (excluding Okinawa Prefecture), and the product from the area with the highest sales will be released nationwide (planned).

What is "Regional Limited Karaage Donburi with Chicken & Mystery Karaage"?

KARAAGE Don" is a collaboration with eight karaage specialty restaurants that have won gold awards in the "Karaage Grand Prix" sponsored by the Japan Karaage Association, and will be released in each of the eight areas nationwide. The restaurant owners supervised repeated trials of each product in order to reproduce the taste of the famous restaurants. You can enjoy karaage donburi at FamilyMart, which is a representative of each area.

The eight karaage rice bowls on sale this time contain a portion of "Mystery Tofu". Mystery Karaage" is a type of fried bean curd whose main ingredient is derived from plants. It was developed under the supervision of the Japan Karaage Association and is part of their efforts to promote a sustainable food supply.

Karage Grand Prix Gold Award Winner: Who is the real champion?

The regional product with the top sales of the region's limited "karaage-don" will be released nationwide. The number one sales winner will be determined based on the average sales volume per store in each area.

Hokkaido Area: "Chicken Negi Fried Rice with Salted Zangi and Mystery Karaage" supervised by Itadakari Cocco Chan

The "Chicken Negi Fried Rice", the restaurant's popular shime menu item, is topped with two types of karaage. Two different flavors can be enjoyed: salt zangi marinated in kelp white soup stock, scallop extract, and apple juice, and soy sauce flavored Mystery Karaage.

shu Iiwaidon Referring to the restaurant's popular menu "Oshu Iiwaidon," the chicken karaage is marinated in a royal soy sauce base with ginger and onions, which is a characteristic of Murone Karaage. The Mystery Kara-don is marinated in a rich soy sauce sauce, and the Mystery Kara-don is topped with a sweet and spicy sauce and green onions for a flavor that makes the rice go faster.
