Sun Squeeze Grapefruit" is canned grapefruit soaked in a sweetened syrup. It contains 411g (14.5oz) (224g (7.9oz) solid) and is priced at 280 yen (tax included).


The country of origin is the Kingdom of Eswatini. The name of the country was unfamiliar to me, so I looked it up on a map and found that it is located at the southern tip of the African continent, bordered by the Republic of South Africa.


This product is often seen in the sales ranking of KALDI's online store, and I was curious to try it when I saw it in the store!

The can is a pull-tab type and can be opened without a can opener. When you open the can, you will see grapefruit soaked in a generous amount of syrup.



In the mouth, you can feel the fresh sweetness and firm graininess. Combined with the not-too-sweet syrup and the grapefruit, it's just the right amount of sweet, sour, refreshing goodness!


They are perfect for eating on their own or as a topping for ice cream and other desserts, as well as for making desserts because of their shape. It is best to refrigerate the can before eating for better flavor.
