At KALDI Coffee Farm, I found a rare canned "spare rib". The illustration of a panda is a landmark, "Shanghai-style spare ribs with black vinegar scent". The price is 383 yen (tax included).

Black vinegar scented Shanghai-style spare ribs

Canned spare ribs (meat with pork bones) stewed in a special sauce using black vinegar and Shaoxing wine. It is scented with black vinegar and Shaoxing wine to give it a sweet Shanghai-style taste.

As it is canned, it can be stored at room temperature and can be eaten immediately after opening. To warm it, transfer it to a heat-resistant container, wrap it in plastic wrap, and heat it in the microwave.

What is its taste?

The meat is simmered firmly and softly, and has a texture that loosens. The tightly packed umami spreads in your mouth with a rich Chinese-style sauce.


There is one piece of meat in each can, but it is quite large and has a satisfying taste. It contains plenty of sauce, so it works well as a side dish for a bowl of rice.
