Yakitatepan Cattleya's signature product, the original Curry Bread, sweet and dry flavors compared! Also check out the "Fluffy Cream Buns"!

Yakitate Pan Cattleya Original Curry Bread

Yakitate Pan Cattleya is a bakery in Morishita, Koto-ku, Tokyo. I actually tried their "Original Curry Bread" (sweet and dry) and "Fluffy Cream Bread"!

Yakitate Pan Cattleya

Yakitate Pan Cattleya is located in Morishita, Koto-ku, Tokyo, and is proud of its curry bread. Its predecessor was Meikado, which was founded in Fukagawa Tokiwa-machi in 1877. The company claims that the origin of "curry bread" is a utility model registered in 1927 under the name of "Western-style bread.

The signature product is the "original Curry Bread. Two types of curry bread are available: sweet and dry. The curry bread is so popular that people line up on holidays. It is fried three times a day at 7:00, 11:00, and 15:00 (times are approximate).

Original Curry Bread

We started with the sweet curry bun. The dough has a crispy surface and a soft and fluffy inside, a model of deep-fried curry buns. The dough itself has a slight sweetness.

The curry inside is thick and rich. It is sweet and thick, with a hint of spicy flavor. Combined with the fried dough, it is rich and hearty. Everyone from children to adults will love it, and there is no doubt about it, it is delicious!

Next is the dry one. While the sweet one was lemon-shaped, this one is circular.

The dough is soft and fluffy just like the sweet one. The curry inside is rich and full of spice aroma. It has a slightly mature taste with a strong aftertaste.

Both sweet and dry curry are delicious, but you can only eat one! If you can only eat one, we recommend the sweet flavor. The price is 240 yen for sweet and 250 yen for dry (excluding tax).

Soft cream buns

Attracted by the "No. 1 in popularity" sign, I bought this one as well. The price was 160 yen. The shape of the bread is a globular shape, which is typical of cream buns. It is filled with homemade cream, a combination of custard cream and whipped cream, and has a fluffy, round shape.

The fluffy dough is filled with a generous amount of cream. The cream has a perfect balance between the gentle richness of egg and sweetness! The smooth texture is both nostalgic and refined.

Cattleya's curry and cream breads are both traditional in appearance, but stand out in taste. If you are passing nearby, be sure to stop by.
