Gyomu Super "couverture chocolate dark

Tasting review of "Couverture Chocolate Dark" from Arigyo Supermarket. With 60% cocoa content, it is rich but not bitter, and has a good balance of sweetness. It is imported from Germany.

Dark couverture chocolate

Couverture Chocolate Dark is a conveniently shaped chocolate for baking. It has a dark flavor with 60% cacao content. The country of origin is Germany.

The 200g (7.05oz) package is priced at 278 yen (excluding tax). A milk product with 33% cacao content is also available.

Each piece is about 1 cm in diameter. I think the shape is designed to make it easy to melt when making confections, but it is also convenient to eat as is and easy to adjust the amount.

How does couverture chocolate dark taste?

The small, colon-like chocolates melt smoothly in the mouth, spreading a rich, bitter flavor. The 60% cocoa content is rich but not bitter, with a good balance of sweetness. Chocolate with a cacao content of 70% or more is rich enough to be enjoyed by those who find it bitter.

Couverture chocolate = for baking, not necessarily! If you're looking for a moderately bitter, rich chocolate, check it out.
