Marugame Udon lunchboxes will go on sale on March 29 at Marugame Seimen, adding a spring-only item to the lineup. This is a take-out-only product.

Marugame Udon Lunch Box

This spring, the company offers the largest selection ever since its launch last April. Based on the "Standard Udon Bento," which includes freshly pounded udon noodles, tempura and side dishes, six different "Marugame Udon Bento" are available. All items are available with a choice of either cold or hot udon noodles, offering the excitement of choosing from a total of 12 varieties.

Bukkake udon is soy sauce-based and has a strong flavor. The surface of the freshly boiled udon noodles is thoroughly moistened with water, which gives them a glossy surface, smooth texture, and elasticity. The tempura and side dishes combine with the rich bukkake broth to create a richer flavor.


The standard kake udon is flavorful and refreshing. The udon noodles and hot broth are freshly cooked separately, so even in bento boxes, you can enjoy the same mochi (sticky) texture as in restaurants. You can also put the udon into the broth in the black container and heat it in the microwave to enjoy the hot taste.

Udon noodle bento with ebito and maitake mushroom tempura

This lunch box features plump shrimp tempura and fragrant maitake tempura. Priced at 640 yen (including tax and container).

Chicken tempura udon bento with grated radish

Juicy chicken tempura flavored with yuzu and grated daikon for a refreshing taste. Price: 590 yen.

Kisuten Udon Lunch Box

A new spring item topped with fluffy kissaten (tempura). Price: 490 yen.

Kashiwa and Shrimp Tempura Udon Lunch Box

Kashiwa tempura and shrimp tempura marinated in a special sauce make for a very satisfying lunch box. Price: 620 yen.
