Marugame Seimen will offer a rich lineup of summer udon noodles as part of its Summer Udon series, with "Asari Cold Udon" and "Ao Kara Oroshi Bukkake Udon" available for a limited time starting June 15.

Marugame Seimen Summer Udon Series

Marugame Seimen offers a total of 20 types* of cold udon ranging from summer specials to standard items. This summer, we particularly recommend the new "Asari Cold Udon", a summer version of udon noodles with scallions, and the "Ao-tara Oroshi Bukkake Udon" with green chili peppers that will satisfy even the most intense hotness lovers. Other cold udon items available include simple standard items and the "Marugame Udon Bento," which is available exclusively for take-out and has sold more than 22 million servings, starting in the 300 yen range per udon.

Cold udon noodle with asari clam

The bowl is filled to overflowing with plump, freshly shucked asari scallions, but the summer version has made a new appearance. You can enjoy the aroma and flavor of the brightly colored wakame seaweed. The rich flavor of the dashi broth, which is infused with the richness of the scallion, is served with the noodles, which are made with only wheat, salt, and water, to create a smooth texture.


Prices are as follows: regular 690 yen, large 810 yen, and special 930 yen (tax included). A separate charge of 30 yen per bowl is required for take-out. The sales period is from June 15 to the end of July.

Udon noodles with grated green pepper and grated radish

Green chili pepper udon with grated soy sauce

The green chili pepper, which has a particularly pungent taste, is seasoned with udon soup stock. The udon noodles are served with freshly grated daikon grated radish and a squeeze of sudachi (a citrus fruit produced in Tokushima Prefecture). Recommended when you want something spicy and refreshing.


Prices are: regular 470 yen, large 590 yen, and special 710 yen. Available from June 15 to late August. The "green pepper udon with grated soy sauce" is not available for take-out.

Oni Oroshi Meat Bukkake Udon

The most popular summer udon (Marugame Seimen's No. 1 summer cold udon since 2018, according to the company's research in 2021) is back with a freshly baked version. Priced at 690 yen for regular, 810 yen for large, and 930 yen for special. The sales period is from June 15 to late August.

Chicken kara-bukkake udon noodles with oroshi (grated onion)

Three pieces of freshly fried juicy fried chicken thighs are included in this satisfying dish. Prices are: regular 690 yen, large 810 yen, and special 930 yen. Available from June 15 to late August.

Udon noodles with chilled udon noodles and pork shabu-shabu with oni oroshi (grated radish)

The tender pork shabu-shabu and oni oroshi make for a refreshing finish. Priced at 690 yen (medium), 810 yen (large), and 930 yen (special). Available from June 15 to late July. Sold at some stores in shopping centers and other locations.

Mentaiko Shirasu Oroshi Bukkake Udon Noodle

Soft and fluffy Japanese baby sardines are paired with the tangy spiciness of mentaiko (spicy cod roe). Priced at 590 yen (medium), 710 yen (large), and 830 yen (special). Available from March 15 to late July. Daikon grated radish can be replaced with grated yam at no extra charge.
