Simply fry bread ears in butter and toss with sugar. The result is a savory rusk with a crispy, crunchy outside! They are easy to make, yet delicious and addictive.

Material ( Serves 2 to 3 )
Ear of bread (8 slices) 8 (for 2 slices of bread)
Butter or margarine 20g (0.71oz)
sugar 1.5 tablespoons

Bread ears left over from making sandwiches are transformed into crispy and irresistible "bread ear rusk! They are so delicious that you will want to make this recipe even if you don't have extra bread ears.

What you will need

8 bread ears (8 slices) (enough for 2 slices of bread)
20 g butter or margarine
1.5 tablespoons sugar

Directions

Separate the ears from the bread.


You can cook it as is, but if you want to make it easier to eat, cut the ears into more bite-sized pieces.


Heat butter (or margarine) in a frying pan, add the bread ears and fry until brown.



When crispy, add the sugar and stir to dissolve.



Once the sugar has dissolved and hardened, place in a bowl and remove from heat!
