Here is a recipe for the Turkish dish "Monk's Fainting". Cooking a foreign dish may seem like a hurdle, but it is surprisingly easy.

garlic (Allium sativum) 1 teaspoon
Canned cut tomatoes 1 can
salt (i.e. sodium chloride) 2 teaspoons
pepper small quantity
olive oil 3 tablespoons
chopped parsley proper quantity

Suddenly, have you ever heard of "monk's fainting"? The name is somewhat disturbing, but it is actually a Turkish dish. It is said to be so delicious that a monk fainted, hence the name.

You must be wondering how delicious it is, right? Here is a recipe that is easy to make at home.

Turkish Cuisine "Monk's Fainting

Ingredients

3 eggplants
1 onion
1 teaspoon garlic (tube is OK)
1 can cut tomatoes
2 teaspoons salt
A pinch of pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
A pinch of chopped parsley

Method of preparation

1. peel the eggplant in stripes, leaving the hefty part, and cut a slit lengthwise (be careful not to go all the way through to the bottom). Coarsely chop the onion.


Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and garlic in a frying pan.


When onions are softened, add canned cut tomatoes, salt and pepper and cook for about 5 minutes.


Remove (3) from the pan and brown the eggplant in 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan.


5. put (3) in the eggplant slices, cover and cook over low heat for about 5 minutes.

Serve in bowls and sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
