Hot custard x simmering apple
I tried McDonald's limited-time menu "Hot Apple Custard Pie". Hot custard cream is a sweet that goes well with the thick apple filling.
The price is 130 yen (tax included). It's up to that point to add custard cream to McDonald's classic menu "hot apple pie," but when you try it, you'll be convinced that it fits perfectly.
When you crack the crispy puff pastry of the hot apple pie, the candy-colored apple filling and the canary-colored custard cream are in a beautiful contrast. Both were thick and did not overflow.
The contents are different
When I grabbed it, the texture of the pie crust was the usual hot apple pie, and the cinnamon that was good for filling was also fragrant.
The custard added to it has a fluffy sweetness and a smooth mouthfeel, claiming its existence as a cream, but it brings out the flavor of apples. A work that won't disappoint fans of plain hot apple pie.
Is it overstated like creme brulee?
The place where the scent of apple and custard spreads in the mouth at the same time after the crispy texture is a little associated with "creme brulee". However, it was a junk taste like McDonald's sweets, which was just unpretentious.
