The Japanese Chai Tea Latte is prepared with an arrangement of the original recipe of the popular menu item served at the seven "Starbucks Tea & Café" stores nationwide that specialize in tea. The chai tea latte is a unique Starbucks Japanese take on chai, combining a hojicha tea base, yuzu peel, ginger, chanpaku, and sansho (Japanese pepper) powder, and warm milk. The rich aroma and slightly spicy taste of each ingredient will leave you wanting more after just one sip.


In addition to the Japanese ingredients, cinnamon, the iconic spice of "masala chai," has been added to the latte to pay homage to "masala chai" and to create a flavor that is familiar to those who love chai.
