Avocado Nameno-style
Ingredients (2 servings)
1 avocado20 g spring onion
1 myoga
2 shiso leaves
1 tablespoon miso
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
A pinch of white sesame seeds
Avocado Nameno-style Directions
Remove the skin and seeds from the avocado. Place in a bowl or Tupperware container and mash with the back of a fork to make a paste (it is OK if the paste is not completely smooth).Add roughly chopped spring onion, myoga, and hand-torn shiso leaves.
Add miso, soy sauce and grated ginger.
Place on a plate and sprinkle with white sesame seeds. The shiso leaves are not included in the quantity.
How does the avocado taste like?
This dish offers a contrast between the thick and creamy avocado and the crunchy textures of the naganegi and myoga. The intense flavors of the myoga and leeks, the freshness of the shiso leaves, and the sesame seeds give this dish a flavorful finish. The strong flavor makes it a perfect accompaniment to rice or as a snack.
