Fruit tart specialty store Quilfévon will sell "Sumomo to Peach Pudding a la mode Tart," a creation of the 30th Fukuoka store, from July 1 to July 31. The price is 831 yen for a piece and 8,316 yen for a whole (25cm) (8% tax included).

For a year from October 2021 to October 2022, Quilfévon will be implementing various projects to commemorate its 30th anniversary. As a part of this project, each store has developed a new tart and has been selling them with a different menu every month since January 2022. For the seventh installment, tarts invented by the staff of the Fukuoka store in Tenjin, Fukuoka, will be sold at 10 stores nationwide.


This summery tart is reminiscent of pudding à la mode, with plums and peaches as the main ingredients. The crispy tart is layered with custard pudding and caramel sauce and sprinkled with cute fruits. The bittersweet caramel sauce is the perfect accent.


The cherries with the caps and softly squeezed whipped cream give the tart a nostalgic pudding à la mode feel. The plum on the edge of the tart is inspired by Fukuoka Prefecture's prefectural emblem (the symbol representing the prefecture), which is based on the motif of "Dazaifu no Ume" (plum blossoms in Dazaifu).
