According to Akafuku's official website, Akafuku ice is made as a cool summer treat. The red bean paste and rice cake are not Akafuku itself, but are specially made to blend with the cold ice. The red bean paste and mochi are placed separately in shaved ice topped with green tea honey. This menu was first created in 1961 for bathers visiting Futamiura in Ise, Mie, and has been improved since then. The price is 530 yen (tax included).
