At each FamilyMart store, a new product of Chinese steamed buns, "Butter-scented hot cake buns," is on sale from January 26th. The price is 148 yen (tax included). It will be sold in a limited quantity.

"Butter-scented pancake bun" is a Chinese bun that is "just like a hot cake." The top surface is browned with a golden brown color. It's small in size and fits comfortably in the palm of your hand.



The moist and chewy dough has a texture that is much closer to Chinese than hot cakes. Fermented butter is used, and the fluffy butter scent gives it a pancake feel.


When I cracked it, I found a thick cake syrup inside. The sweet scent and melting mouthfeel are reminiscent of maple syrup on pancakes. It goes perfectly with the fabric! By the way, it is not loose enough to flow out, but it is as hard as mitarashi dango, so it is safe to divide it in half in a place without a plate.



A hot cake-style Chinese steamed bun with a gentle texture and taste. It was surprisingly easy to get used to.
