7-ELEVEN "Uji green tea crepe supervised by Kyuemon Ito

7-ELEVEN stores will sequentially release Uji green tea sweets supervised by Ito Kuemon, a long-established tea shop in Uji, Kyoto, from November 17 (except for some stores). The three products are "Ito Kuemon supervised Uji green tea crepe," "Ito Kuemon supervised Uji green tea small rice cake," and "Ito Kuemon supervised Uji green tea babaroa.

The first sweets using Ito Kuemon's Uji green tea were released in March 2020. In response to the popularity of the previous release, three new items will be introduced. Grand Chef Takato Yoshimoto, the exclusive chef of Ito Kuemon, supervised the creation of these new sweets, which bring out the full flavor of Uji matcha tea.

The tea used is the same special Uji matcha used in the sweets served at Ito Kyuemon's Uji main store. The golden ratio blend created specifically for Uji matcha sweets provides a good balance of flavor and bitterness.
