A rice cake with peanut paste inside. The outside is covered with coarsely ground peanuts. It comes in a transparent package with an illustration of a peanut. It can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dark place and consumed within two days of purchase. The price is 162 yen per piece (tax included).

Tried the "Peanut Mochi

Soft and chewy rice cake and smooth peanut paste. This was my first time to try this combination, and I found it to be a better match than I had imagined. The two unite in the mouth, spreading a deep richness and sweetness. The crunchy texture of the coarsely ground peanuts sprinkled on top adds a nice accent. The rice cake flavor is elegant, but you can feel the unique savory taste of the nuts as much as you want.

The sweet and savory flavors become more pronounced when heated.

In addition to eating it as it is, we recommend transferring it to a heatproof container and warming it in a microwave oven (500W) for 10 to 15 seconds without wrapping it. The rice cake is as fluffy and glutinous as if it were freshly pounded. The paste inside melts into a thick paste, increasing the sense of happiness. The sweetness and savory flavor can be clearly felt by warming it up.
