I tried 7-ELEVEN's sweet "Cheese-like rich one grain Omochi". It has a rich flavor like rare cheesecake, but the texture is just the skin of Daifuku, which is an interesting dish.
The selling price is 213 yen (tax included). A total of 156 kcal with 3 pieces. Using flavorful cream cheese and Camembert cheese, it is steamed and kneaded with rice cake flour and bracken starch to create a pleasant taste that brings out the aroma.
When I picked it up, it didn't seem to be hard or soft, but when I took it out of the package, it was a pure white and fluffy candy that fits in a transparent case. A small plastic fork is stuck in it and it looks really soft.
When you try to cut it, even if you use a knife that cuts well, the upper side will be slightly crushed, so it is a delicate workmanship. From the cross section, you can feel the unique texture that does not match with Daifuku with cheesecake.
At first glance, the rich cheese and cream taste is similar to the rare cheesecake sold at pastry shops. However, the chewy texture is very similar to the fine Daifuku skin sold at Japanese sweets shops. With the scent of Camembert, the overall finish is closer to Western confectionery.
When it comes to combining drinks, I'm wondering whether it's Japanese tea, black tea, or coffee, but all of them come with a strong brew. If you want to try eccentric sweets, please do.
