The recipe is based on Asahi Beer's recipe.1 pack of natto (fermented soybeans)
Small green onions as needed
3 tablespoons chirimenjako (dried chirimenjako)
2 tablespoons melted cheese
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons wheat flour
1 1/2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons sesame oil
7 spices (as needed)
Directions
Mix the flour and water together.In a bowl, mix natto, soy sauce, small green onions, chirimenjako (dried baby sardines), and melted cheese, then add flour dissolved in water and mix well.
On a frying pan with sesame oil, spread the kneaded natto dough into a round shape with a spoon. Grill on both sides over low-medium heat, sprinkle with shichimi pepper and done!
How does it taste?
Yum! The more you bite into it, the more the texture of the sticky natto, the creamy richness of the melted cheese, the umami of the baby sardines, and the bitterness of the green onions come in turns.The spiciness of the shichimi pepper accentuates the flavor of the natto. The flavor changes rapidly with each bite, but the entire dish is so delicious that it creates a sense of unity. I can't stop drinking beer!
All you have to do is mix and bake, so it takes only 10 to 15 minutes. It is recommended not only as a snack, but also as a side dish for snacks and side dishes.
