Sukiya "Japanese-style Onisara Don"
Crispy onion slices

I ate Sukiya's "Japanese-style Onisara Don". A bowl of beef bowl topped with onion salad and sprinkled with yuzu ponzu sauce. Simple but delicious.

The selling price is 480 yen (tax included). According to the menu, a generous amount of raw onion slices, which are sliced along the fiber to bring out a crispy texture, are placed on the beef bowl.

Yuzu ponzu is quite heavy

When you pinch the raw onion slices, they have almost no peculiarity and the aroma is not so strong. It's just an ingredient to enjoy the texture. On the other hand, the citrus-like smell of yuzu ponzu and the sourness that makes the mouth squeeze stand out.

Onion slices have almost no habit

Furthermore, thanks to the refreshing onion salad, the sweetness and saltiness of the beef bowl underneath can be felt more clearly. Rather, the onion flavor seems to come from slices that are softly stewed with beef.

If you bring the onion slices and beef to your mouth with rice, you can enjoy the contrast between the light taste and the rich taste at once. The umami of the beef bowl is good, but the aftertaste is refreshing, so even if you ask for a large serving, it seems to be perfect.

By the way, if you want to add toppings, raw eggs are recommended, but this time I will not. Instead, I thought it would look good on the white of the onion slices, so I put the red shichimi pepper on the table.

The chopsticks go on and on

It looks beautiful and the spiciness goes well with it, so this is also recommended.
