Haneda Airport Limited Dorayaki "Hagumo" by Kano Shoujuan

Japanese confectioner Kano Shoujuan is now selling Haneda Airport limited edition "Hagumo" dorayaki. It is available at the Tokyo Shokuhinkan for domestic flights and the Edo Shokuhinkan for international flights.

Hagumo" is a collaboration between Kano Shoujuan and Haneda Airport. It was developed with the hope that "wagashi will become a delicious souvenir to the world, along with memories of your travels.

The package is designed to look like the sky. The opening is in the shape of a large cloud, which is cute! It also features a gracefully flying airplane. The gold sticker on the package is a "limited edition" seal.



Inside is a dorayaki that can be eaten in one hand. The carefully cooked Hokkaido-grown azuki bean paste is wrapped in dorayaki dough. The cloud mark (?) on the surface of the dough is a nice touch. on the surface of the dough.


What is most different from ordinary dorayaki is the texture of the dough. Whenever you bite into the fine texture of the dough, you can feel the elasticity of the dough bouncing back against your teeth. The dough is generally moist and not at all dry.

The dough is a perfect match for the sticky, sweet bean paste. The mild sweetness spreads. It is also nice that there is so much bean paste in the dough that it sticks out!
