From the "Meiji The Chocolate" series, a new flavor " Brilliant Milk with a lovely scent " will be released on October 3rd. The estimated price is 220-230 yen (excluding tax).

The long-awaited new work has appeared in the popular chocolate series since May. For the first time in the history of the series, a flavor mainly using precious Peruvian cacao.

The flavor characteristics of cacao are roughly divided into three types: "floral," "roasted," and "fruity." Among them, Peruvian is one of the few precious cacao beans with a "floral" flavor.


In the Meiji The Chocolate series, flavors with characteristics such as roasted feeling or fruity have been developed so far. The world will be further expanded with the "pretty fragrant brilliant milk" released this time.


The package color is yellow. This is said to be associated with the excavation of a lot of gold in Peru.


The cacao content is 55% "dark milk". It is a new genre of chocolate advocated by the Meiji era, which uses a lot of cacao while adding milk and suppressing sugar. You can enjoy the "milky but bitter" taste.



When you put it in your mouth, it melts smoothly and the rich taste spreads. The sweetness and mellowness of the milk stand out in the slight bitterness.

In commemoration of the release of this new work, the Meiji era will hold an announcement event jointly with the Peruvian Embassy. The Peruvian ambassador presented a letter of appreciation to the Meiji era, which supports local farmers in the cultivation and fermentation of cacao beans.


It's not just Peru. As "Mage Cacao Support (MCS)", the Meiji era supports producers through cultivation and fermentation method guidance and installation of agricultural equipment in cacao producing countries such as Ecuador, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Ghana.

This will solve the supply shortage caused by the increase in chocolate consumption worldwide and aim to improve the environment for producers. It is said that the idea is to "make everyone involved in chocolate happy."
