Pumpkin sweets such as pudding and ice cream have increased, but there are surprisingly few hot products. I was pushed by the chill in the morning and decided to buy it.
■ I ate Pumpkin Man!
A pumpkin bun that is slightly smaller than a typical Chinese bun. The slippery fabric is bright orange.
When you break the dough, you can see the deep pumpkin-colored bean paste that looks like it has been boiled down. It looks smooth because you see it.
The sweetness of the pumpkin is strong, and it tastes as if the pumpkin itself was mashed into a paste. The mouthfeel is smooth like cream, and there is no fluffy feeling peculiar to pumpkin. By chewing, it gets entangled in the whole dough and the sweetness spreads in your mouth.
I imagined a simple taste like "pumpkin oyaki", but it's more like an elegant Japanese sweet. It's good to eat around to warm your body, but it was a Chinese steamed bun that made you want to prepare tea at home and enjoy it relaxedly.
