This product is a limited-edition canned beer with the motif of the "Hokkaido Shinkansen," which is scheduled to open at the end of 2015. Illustrations of H5 series vehicles scheduled to run on the same line and local trains are drawn, and characters such as "Hokkaido Shinkansen", "Hayabusa", "Hayate", and "Start of operation at the end of 2015 (planned)" are designed. The planned number of sales is 10,000 cases (350 ml x 24 bottles).

At the same time, the "Sapporo Classic Hokkaido Shinkansen Can Gift Set," which is a combination of 10 Sapporo Classic Hokkaido Shinkansen cans and two regular Sapporo Classic 500ml (16.91us fl oz) cans, will be on sale. The planned number of sales is 3,000 sets.


The Hokkaido Shinkansen is a high-speed railway line planned to connect Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture, to Sapporo City, Hokkaido. The section between Shin-Aomori and Shin-Hakodate Hokuto is scheduled to open at the end of 2015, and the section between Shin-Hakodate Hokuto and Sapporo is scheduled to open at the end of 2030. After opening, it will be connected to the Tohoku Shinkansen at Shin-Aomori Station for direct operation.
