At the sweets shop Magnolia Bakery Omotesando (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) from NY, the second Japanese-only menu "Matcha Cupcake" will be on sale from March 25, following the "Sakura Cupcake" released the other day. The price is 480 yen per piece (excluding tax).


In New York these days, "Matcha" is attracting attention among "healthy-oriented" New Yorkers, such as the appearance of a cafe specializing in matcha.

"Matcha cupcakes" made with such matcha are adult-flavored cupcakes that make the most of the "Japanese" taste. It is iced with a deep green cream. The smooth texture of the meringue butter cream is accented by the subtle bitterness and aroma of matcha.

In addition to Magnolia Bakery Omotesando, it will be sold at the following limited-time shops (the period in parentheses is the "Matcha Cupcake" sales period).
