There are no lines outside the store! According to the usher's older brother, it 's not too crowded on weekday mornings . However, there are still long lines on weekday afternoons and weekends. If you want to enter the shop smoothly, it is recommended that you come in the morning on weekdays.
Still, when I went inside, the audience seats were full. In addition, a little less than 10 customers are waiting in line in front of the cash register for orders. Even though it's early in the morning, it's really popular.
When I suddenly looked at the back of the counter, there was a rumored roastery (roasting place)! It is a Nikui guy who spreads a fascinating scent not only inside the store but also outside the store. Fresh coffee is served to us using beans that are roasted every day here.
Wait about 10 minutes and it's my turn to order. This time, I ordered "Cappuccino" (500 yen), which I didn't try at Aoyama Cafe, "Fruit Buckle (Buckle Cake)" (450 yen), and "Roast Orange Pound Cake" (450 yen) from the pastry. We decided that it would be difficult to eat in because it was full, so we took out.
As with Aoyama Cafe, if you tell your name and pay, the coffee will be ready soon and you will be called to the counter. Pour milk into the cup in front of you and the cappuccino is complete! As was the case last time, this is a blissful moment where you can immerse yourself in the feeling of brewing coffee just for me.
It's a big deal, so I'll try drinking freshly brewed coffee before taking it home.
Cappuccino brewed using an espresso machine. Foam milk has fine and uniform foam and a fluffy and soft mouthfeel. It is mellow and rich, and enhances the delicious bitterness and aroma of espresso.
Blue bottles have the image of hand-drip coffee, but I realized once again that coffee brewed with an espresso machine is (naturally) delicious.
By the way, I seriously believe that "a cup of coffee in the morning can make today the best and the worst." If you come here in the morning and have a cup of coffee, you'll have a good day. Both Aoyama Cafe and Kiyosumi Shirakawa Roastery & Cafe were shops that made me think that way.
Despite the bullish price setting of 500 yen for a cup of coffee, which surpasses Starbucks, it is not only the taste of coffee but also the customer service, which is a series of steps from entry to exit. Maybe it's because the experience is worth it.
Now, from here, I will report on the taste of the pastry that I took out!
● Fruit buckle (buckle cake)
A cupcake-style pastry topped with crispy crumble and fragrant walnuts. Apples are kneaded into the dough.
The dough is moist and gently unravels in your mouth. Occasionally, a slight saltiness is felt, and the sweetness of the cake is accentuated. A simple but warm taste like a handmade cake made by my mother.
● Roasted orange pound cake
A pound cake made by roasting whole oranges, kneading them into the dough, and baking them. You can feel the refreshing scent of citrus before eating!
When you eat a bite, the fresh sweetness and acidity of orange spreads in your mouth, and the gorgeous scent gently escapes from your nose. There is no extra sweetness, only the natural sweetness of orange reaches the taste. It has a moist and chewy texture, and just eating a piece of it will make you very full! It's modestly sweet and goes well with coffee, so it's perfect for breakfast.
In addition to this, various pastries such as cookies and waffles are prepared, so please try your favorite one with coffee!
