Must-see for butter lovers! Introducing the butter sandwich cookies from the butter sand specialty store "PRESS BUTTER SAND" in JR Tokyo Station.
The store just opened in April this year on the premises of the Marunouchi South Exit of JR Tokyo Station. There are only two types of products for sale, "freshly baked butter sand" and "butter sand". Both are similar to sandwiching butter cream and butter caramel with cookies, but the former is baked in the store and has a shelf life of 4 to 5 days, while the latter is packed in a box and has a shelf life of about 10 days. It seems that it can be used properly according to the scene.
This time, I got 1 freshly baked butter sand (150 yen including tax) and 6 butter sands (900 yen including tax). First try freshly baked.
A box-shaped cookie that looks like a monaka. Because there are many horns, you can fully enjoy the crunchy texture and fragrant flavor.
Butter cream is tailored to reduce the sweetness and bring out the butter flavor on the entire surface. It has a fluffy mouthfeel, but the taste is almost the same as butter. Combined with the richly sweet butter caramel, you can enjoy a fresh yet rich and luxurious taste.
It's also good that the cookies are slightly salty. The butter flavor and overall sweetness are even more pronounced. Is 150 yen a little expensive at first? I thought, but I'm satisfied with this deliciousness!
Next is a box of butter sand. First and foremost, the cuteness of the package! It has a playful and stylish color scheme of gray and fluorescent orange, and the same mark as a cookie is stamped in silver in the center of the upper surface of the box.
The contents are individually wrapped. The individual wrapping has been repeatedly verified to keep it fresh, so even when I actually tried it, I enjoyed the deliciousness that was comparable to that of freshly baked.
However, the freshness of butter cream may be a little better when it is freshly baked. Also, when I compared the tastes, the freshly baked one was a little stronger and had a crunchier texture, but this may be individual difference.
If you want to eat it on the spot or buy it as a souvenir for someone close to you, we recommend you to choose freshly baked, and for a small but complicated souvenir, choose a boxed souvenir! Currently, this is the only store, so please use it as a souvenir from Tokyo.
