Beef stew with pie fruit arrangement

"Arrange recipes" that are often written on the sides and inside of sweets boxes and on individual packaging. I read it while eating and thought "Hmm", so I tried or didn't try it.

One of the most shocking recipes is "Put the pie nuts on the beef stew" written inside the pie nut box. The phrase is "just put the pie fruit on the back to make a crispy beef stew ♪ A slightly unusual pie fruit arrangement!"


Certainly the crispy pie texture will go well with beef stew. There is even a dish called "stew pot pie" that is made by covering a stew plate with puff pastry and baking it. But what about the compatibility with the big element "chocolate" that makes up the fruit of the pie?

There is no mention of chocolate in the recipe on the box. I was curious, so I decided to actually try it.

I prepared a box of pie nuts and a retort beef stew. Put a few pie nuts on a plate of warm beef stew and you're done.



When you eat it, the rich taste of stew first, then the texture of crispy pie, and finally the sweet taste of chocolate spreads. Because it melts with the heat of the stew, the chocolate taste is stronger than the usual pie nuts.


What about the mixed taste of beef stew and chocolate? I thought, but in the first place these two do not collide from the front. Since the chocolate is wrapped in a pie, I have drank some stew by the time the chocolate taste spreads. In addition, the pie may ease the strength of the stew's taste, so the change from stew's taste to chocolate's taste is smooth. There is no sense of discomfort.


Is this also a kind of match? There is no "surprise taste", but there is fun to be impressed with the change in taste, so if you have the opportunity, try it.
