The only full marathon event in Miyagi Prefecture will be held in Tome City on April 27th. The name is " Tohoku Climate Marathon ". When I looked at the website to apply for a runner, I found the words "Tie-up with that French Medoc Marathon". Well, in the Medoc Marathon , can you drink alcohol at the water supply station?

By the way, the Medoc Marathon is a full marathon event held every year in the Medoc region of France. It is doubtful that they will be convinced because it is famous as a red wine producing area, but wine is served at the water supply station. On the contrary, there are even lunch points where you can enjoy oysters. I'm sure it's over 30km and I can't tell if it's a marathon or a party. It is so popular that fans from Japan also tailor the tour and participate.

On the other hand, the Tohoku Climate Marathon is a marathon project where you can experience the present of Tohoku while enjoying local food, and you want to make it a tournament that locals, runners, and volunteers can enjoy together. The Medoc Marathon Secretariat agreed and officially approved it for the purpose of supporting the reconstruction of Tohoku. The secretariat of the Tohoku Climate Marathon also appealed by setting up a sake booth at the 29th Medoc Marathon held in September 2013. Sake is starting to attract attention in France and other countries, so I think it has become popular.

The expectation that if you participate in the Tohoku climate marathon, you will be able to drink delicious Tohoku sake at the "bar" was shattered by the rules of the participation application page, "Do not run or drive under the influence of alcohol." Far from sake, alcohol is not served in the course. However, since each rest area of the course offers "local food" from all over Tohoku, you can enjoy Tohoku food while running. I'm also interested in the fact that the water used to prepare Tohoku sake is also provided.

It's okay if you're not satisfied with this. Actually, as part of this marathon event, "Tohoku Climate Marathon & Festival 2014", the start / finish points are the venues for the "Tome Climate Expo" and "Tohoku Sake Festival". It's not good to start the business before the race because it violates the rules, but when you finish the race, you should be able to enjoy delicious Tohoku sake. Oh, of course, be careful about your physical condition and enjoy yourself. The day after the marathon, there is also a "Minamisanriku inspection & storyteller tour", so you can experience the culture of Tohoku.

There are four marathons in total: (1) full marathon, (2) half marathon, and (3) "ASICS Tomorrow Run" (5km for junior high and high school students, 2km for elementary school students). It is also an ant to participate in 2km as a parent and child. This is the first tournament, so it will be a good memory to participate.

The Tohoku Climate Marathon Executive Committee is soliciting donations from the crowdfunding service "Shooting Star." How about actually running, eating, drinking and enjoying while supporting the financial aspect?
